Troop News

The white water trip coming up on the weekend of the weekend of the 23-25 does not look as strongly attended as planned for and we are going to have to change our reservation numbers by this coming Friday..

If your son is coming, or a parent is coming, on the trip please reply to this email with who or both are attending. If you don't reply we will assume the Scout and parent is not coming on the trip. We need an exact amount as possible for the reservations. As stated at the meeting tonight, If your son is the Patrol Leader, please have him call his patrol and also see who is coming and advise the Senior Patrol leader, J Ng, by Friday evening.

The raft cost to attend the Nantahalla is $21.00 per person. The raft cost to attend the Ocoee is $91.00 per person just to get on the raft..this doesn't include food, fuel, or our camping fee. It is likely that the camping fee is $4.00 and the food is $3.00 per person per meal or $12.00, Gas will be a minimum of $20.00 per person to fuel the Bus, Frank Tank, and three advance party vehicles. if less people go the pro rated cost may increase to meet our minimums...or:

A this time the Nantahalla is 60.00 per person;and, the Ocee is 127.00 per person

We usually always camp at Gee State Park and require an early party to leave Friday (23rd) morning to reserve our space and set up the tents and tarps. Mr. Branin will head the early party and needs to know who will go early (516-0108). It is important to have an early party in order to get the space we need at the camp ground, so please think about volunteering..Feel free to bring your son along if he can be excused from school.

Remember to please reply if you or your son is going to help us with this count.

There will be a regular meeting on the 19th for all who are attending to hear a required safety briefing and planning for meals.

There will be a quartermaster meeting at 6:00 PM on the 22nd to load the Frank Tank and we will be at the Hut at 5:00 PM on the 23rd for the departure for Tennessee. We plan on returning before 1:00 PM on Sunday the 25.

We plan on returning the bus with all the Norther Tier Gear tomorrow. and will park it at the Hut. I will be available to unload your gear at 6:00 PM on Wed (14th) and Thursday (15th) Nights for about a half hour each night.

Don' forget to assure you and your son assist J Ng in his Eagle Project at Bumpus Middle School this coming Saturday , July 17th all day or in the morning or afternoon.

Thanks for all your support and for encouraging attendance to assure the program remains successful.
